I ordered this in black to match my saddle, and it looks so fancy! Most important it's a great size and the shape my trainer likes for girths. It's a winner.
There just so happens there was a stitch that had come through to the other side. Just wondering if at some point it might tear or create a hole?
Hi Bridget, DP and I have spoken to you about getting your girth replaced, once you send that girth back you will be sent a brand new one with not loose stitch. Please send me a message if you have any further concerns .
This girth will NOT disappoint and it does NOT have any elastic to compromise the fit. We liked this product so much we bought 2! Using a smaller size for my Skito bareback pad.
Really excited to try out my new girth. So far this company has been able to fulfil my every need. Now I just need them to make the mud disappear so I can use all my new tack!
I purchased a DP El Campo saddle in chestnut and cognac with brass hardware, so wanted to get a girth that matched. This one is AMAZING. It's beautiful, but it's also easy to clean after riding and appears to be incredibly comfortable for my gelding. It has a central D-ring for a breast collar to attach, and the buckles at either end form a slight v-shape to match the billets on the DP saddle. It certainly doesn't seem like a girth that would cause any sort of galls; it's soft leather, well padded, and anatomical. As you can see from the photo, I got a size 2 girth for my just-under-15 hands paso fino and it fits well. Even if I didn't have a DP saddle, I would consider this girth given the quality, price, and impeccable customer service from Ria at Lilly Tay who put up with all my emails and picky requests!
